My work centres on my belief in a visual form of knowing, a pre-linguistic state of active engagement which in turn provokes thought. Thought is activated visually via different physiological channels to thought promoted through language. I use technology - mainly video, camera, and computer - to picture landscape in non traditional ways. My work is conceived around human engagement with the land through attitudes and forms of perception. Visual beauty is used as an entrapment which reveals itself through the content and style of the works.
